Vintage Mexican sterling silver overlay glass jar featuring an ornate pierced botanical design with detailed repoussé and engraved metalwork.
The clear glass jar is embossed “Nestlé” around the shoulder and is surrounded by an elaborate sterling silver sleeve depicting intertwined branches, foliage, and raised floral or fruit motifs. The openwork design allows the glass to remain visible through the silver.
The underside of the sleeve bears a circular Mexican sterling silver hallmark with a stylized maker’s monogram and 925 designation. The maker’s initials have not been definitively identified.
Includes a coordinating screw-on metal lid with decorative concentric bands. The lid has no visible sterling hallmark, although its appearance and tarnish are consistent with silver. Its metal composition has not been independently verified.
