Hand-crafted and expertly hand-painted with an incredible undersea fairytale aesthetic in 1999, this retired, out-of-production sculpture is a premier centerpiece for any mythical fantasy, coastal, or maritime art gallery display.
The captivating scene features a graceful, long-haired auburn mermaid sitting elegantly inside a large open, highly textured cream-colored bivalve giant scallop clam shell. She is depicted dynamically posed, touching her hair with her right hand while her left arm reaches up to hold the upper shell canopy open. She is beautifully accented with delicate, hand-painted gold seashell bikini top details and a matching upper arm cuff band. Her magnificent tail boasts a shimmering, multi-colored pastel iridescent finish with pink, peach, periwinkle, and silver-blue scales that curve gracefully across the interior scallop ridges.
