This listing is for one vintage cigar rest or ashtray made by Villenauxe en Champagne for Maxim’s Restaurant – Paris. Additional cigar rests may be available – check the quantity button. These were made in several different styles – these each have the gold ‘M’ on each side, inside the cigar rest.
Founded in 1893 by Maxime Gaillard, Maxim's de Paris quickly became one of the most celebrated and opulent restaurants in the world. Reaching the height of its fame during the Belle Époque, the establishment became renowned for its masterpiece Art Nouveau interior, impeccable service, and world-class gastronomy. For over a century, Maxim's served as the ultimate gathering place for royalty, prominent artists, celebrities, and high society, cementing its legacy as an enduring international symbol of Parisian luxury.
Good condition. These are used cigar rests. No chips or cracks. No flake chips. The pink and gold inside the cigar rest is above glaze; the pink on all dishes is overwhelmingly intact. The ‘M’ on one side shows noticeable wear, with minor loss on the remaining ‘M’s. All show some base and age wear. Please see the pictures for more information and to help with your decision.
This cigar rest measures 4 ½’’ long, 2 3/8’’ wide, and ¾’’ high.

If purchasing several items, I offer combined shipping and charge only actual shipping costs with no handling fee.
