Vintage Maitland Smith Wicker Reed, Wrought Iron, Glass & Brass Flower Basket For Sale

A stunning vintage Maitland-Smith gathering basket with true old-world presence. Hand-woven honey-toned reed is paired with rope-twist wrought iron handles, green glass medallions bearing an applied brass flower on each end, and a green glass bead grip. A dark metal base frame completes the aged, sculptural look.

Maitland-Smith is renowned for fine decorative furnishings, and this basket shows why — equally striking as a farmhouse or French-country statement piece: firewood, throws, dried florals, or standing empty as sculpture.
