Unlike the common solid copper versions, this historic piece was manufactured from a heavily plated magnetic steel sheet—a fascinating testament to the workshop supply adaptations of the era.
Condition Report (Please Read):The tray is in good vintage condition with excellent display appeal, crisp feather detailing, and a bright silver-gray luster. Please note there is a notable hairline fracture on the outer rim of the center bowl that shows stable orange oxidation/rust underneath the plating where the metal split from age-related stress along the stamped bend. The piece remains structurally intact and has been kept in a climate-controlled, dry environment to freeze the oxidation. Please review the close-up macro photos for an exact look at this area.
