**Description:** Up for sale is a beautiful mid-century mechanical double-action barrel corkscrew. This is the highly collectible vintage collaboration piece manufactured by Maestri in Italy and imported/distributed by the renowned American silversmiths at Gorham. Featuring a continuous-action design, turning the upper ring handle smoothly drives the worm into the cork. Continued turning engages the mechanical flynut mechanism, effortlessly drawing the cork upward into the outer protective barrel housing without any tugging.

**Condition:** Excellent working vintage condition. The mechanical elements are completely straight, fully functional, and move smoothly. The original silver plating shows an elegant, authentic aged patina with highlights of the golden under-metal showing through, giving it fantastic antique character.
