Vintage Mads Stage Hare Print – Genuine Preserved Leaf Botanical Frame – Woodland Cottage Art
A beautifully distinctive vintage-style wildlife print featuring a delicate hare illustration attributed to acclaimed Danish artist and illustrator Mads Stage (1922–2004).
The artwork captures a wonderfully expressive hare with finely detailed ears, soft earthy coloring, delicate whiskers, and beautifully loose sketchwork.
What truly sets this piece apart is its extraordinary decorative border, created with genuine preserved leaves in rich shades of chocolate brown, amber, and autumn gold.
The leaves display intricate natural veining and organic texture, creating a gorgeous botanical presentation that perfectly complements the woodland subject.
The beautifully imperfect edges are part of its charm. Areas of natural wear and exposed backing give the piece an authentic, timeworn appearance, reminiscent of something discovered in a charming English country cottage or collected over generations.
The combination of delicate wildlife illustration and textured natural materials makes this a wonderfully unique decorative piece.
