This is a Maasai milk gourd container from Kenya, traditionally used for storing and fermenting milk.
The vessel features an elongated 21” tapering shape made from a dried gourd.
It is decorated with a glass beaded cap/lid and a beaded, ornate leather strap. The cap has separated from the leather strap, but overall is in wonderful condition.
