Vintage Fiberglass Safety Helmet for Display, Cap Style

- Notches with head size numbers are tooled into the leather support band.

- Circa 1940s and 1950s.
This vintage hard hat is in good condition with visible distress. It has numerous scuffs and paint marks. The suspension leather band is becoming brittle. The support straps are still supple. There are drilled holes on the sides, possibly for ventilation.
The surface has not been cleaned.
This safety hat was likely worn by a miner in Michigan’s Copper Country, located in the Upper Peninsula on the south shore of beautiful Lake Superior.
