Vintage MCM Blue Cased Glass Hourglass Vase Empoli Italian Style 14" For Sale

Add a vibrant pop of retro color to your home decor with this gorgeous mid-century modern art glass vase. Featuring a classic "hourglass" or double-gourd biomorphic silhouette, this piece beautifully exemplifies 1960s space-age design. This is authentic vintage cased glass, expertly crafted by layering a vibrant sky-blue exterior glass over a milky white inner liner. This piece has been wonderfully preserved. The outer surface is entirely smooth to the touch. As is common with authentic, hand-blown vintage glass from the Empoli region, this piece features unique internal air bubbles trapped within the glass layers. Near the base, there are smooth interior air bursts (visible as reflective markings under the surface). These are factory production anomalies from the original glassmaking process, not post-consumer damage, and the glass remains completely smooth and structurally sound on the outside.
