This ornate Rococo/Baroque Revival piece features two sculpted cherubs/putti surrounding a tall central candleholder, decorated with detailed applied flowers, scrolling forms, and shell-like accents.
The underside bears the impressed Luigi Zortea/Bassano maker’s mark.
Luigi Zortea established his ceramic workshop in Bassano del Grappa in 1921 and became known for highly detailed decorative ceramics inspired by traditional Italian and European Baroque designs.
