Up for sale is a beautiful, authentic piece of vintage Native American art: a hand-painted clay vase from the renowned Lower Sioux Pottery cooperative of Morton, Minnesota. This unique studio operated from 1972 until 1996, making these original pieces highly collectible examples of Midwestern tribal craftsmanship.
The vase features a rich terracotta clay body adorned with hand-painted, traditional Dakota/Sioux geometric patterns in a vibrant blue and deep black palette. Arrows and stylized geometric bands frame the bulbous silhouette beautifully.
