Vintage Italian Lorenzo Dal Torrione Mother & Child figurine/sculpture, dated 1984.
This substantial decorative piece depicts a seated mother holding a young child, rendered in soft yellow, pink, cream, and brown tones with finely modeled facial features, flowing clothing, furniture, and gold-tone accent detailing.
The sculpture is signed “Dal Torrione” on the base and is mounted on a polished wood display plinth. At approximately 4.4 lbs, this is a substantial display piece with considerably more presence than a lightweight decorative figurine.
The sculpture remains in great vintage condition. It has been lightly dusted/cleaned but has not been aggressively detailed in order to protect the original painted surface. As with a vintage displayed piece, light storage/display wear and minor dust or residue in detailed areas may be present.
