Vintage Loomis School 1939 Wool Felt Banner with Leather Pyrography Seal.
Measures 17 inches by 33 inches. Made by The Chicago Pennant Co. (see label).
Loomis Colors: Maroon Wool Felt Background with Grey Letters, Numbers and Border. Stitching is complete and strong - no loose bits. Letters are complete. There are small holes and stains - probably coffee - on the background and border.
College Seal is Leather Pyrography - leather is burned to create text and images - work is in excellent condition. Stitching around seal is very good as well.
An amazing piece from this exclusive establishment - the pyrography banners are far less common.
