Vintage Lois Long Fallani & Cohn Tea Towel 100% Linen Gingerbread Baking Theme For Sale

This is a vintage 100% linen tea towel featuring a gingerbread and baking motif designed by American artist Lois Long for Fallani & Cohn. The design features illustrated baking ingredients and tools set on a background of repeating gingerbread cookies. The vintage towel has a warm, earth-toned color palette with a cream background, tan cookies, a bold terracotta orange-red on the rider and horse, olive green highlights on the rolling pin handles, spoon and molasses jug. Warm brown tones are on the rolling pin and cinnamon sticks. The ginger tin also has a pop of burnt orange. This towel was part of the Fallani & Cohn \"American Artist Collection\" featuring highly detailed illustrations in warm, earthy color pallets like seen here and were popular in the 1970\'s. The towel is in excellent pre-owned condition with vibrant bright colors and crisp stiff linen texture. There is some light staining/soiling from age (see photos). The towel has not been hand-washed to see if the stains will come out. Has creases from being folded during storage but is not damaged from this. Has Lois\'s name in the lower right corner. Stitching and tag are intact.
