DESCRIPTION
Offered for sale is a rare vintage Litton Resource Systems (LRS) cutaway geophone seismic sensor — an unusual piece of petroleum exploration, geophysical, and engineering history.
This full-size unit features a professionally executed cutaway section designed to expose and display the geophone’s internal construction. Based on its presentation and permanent display mounting, it appears to have been produced as a demonstration, educational, technical, or sales display piece.
The cutaway provides a clear view of the internal components, including the copper-wire coil assemblies, suspension components, magnet assembly, and internal wiring.
The distinctive high-visibility orange housing is stamped on top with the vintage geometric “LRS” logo and “MADE IN U.S.A.”
