Vintage Krispy Kreme LARGE Hanging Ceiling Store Light Sign Acrylic Bow Tie RARE bar light tavern fluorescent light man cave
The sign is very large, measuring approx. 36" L x 14" H x 4.5" D
This came out of a long closed down Krispy Kreme Doughnuts shop and has been in storage for years. I obtained this from the original store owner's shop and it was so dirty at first it was unrecognizable with dirt and grime. I can't believe how well it cleaned up.
There are stickers on one side that show patent number and serial number and instructions. It reads that the power is 120 volts / 68 watts. with a lamp type of F17T8, 29". Made in the USA
It shows a UL model number of DD726345 - other info is in the photos
When I peak inside it looks like there are 3 fluorescent 29" bulbs.
I've seen some "bow tie" shaped lights on but nothing that matches this particular style and size. I cannot find another sign like it and it's extremely rare.
There is a company on the instructions named "Fiber Does, Inc." that opened in the 90's, which is the manufacturing company. Based on what the previous owner said I would estimate that this sign was manufactured in the mid to late 90's and was in his store until he closed it years ago. An online source posts the following:
