Elegant vintage 17-piece Kahla porcelain coffee service for six, made in the former German Democratic Republic—East Germany.
This Mid-Century European coffee set features glossy ivory-white porcelain decorated with graceful brown and gold wheat sheaves and delicate gold-tone trim. The tall covered coffee pot, shapely creamer and matching covered sugar bowl give the set a refined Continental café appearance.
The green crown-in-circle Kahla backstamp dates this porcelain to approximately 1968–1987. Kahla has produced fine hard-paste porcelain in Thuringia, Germany, since 1844.
