Set of 5 Vintage Kahla GDR Cheese/Wine Plates Gold Trim For Sale

This is a beautiful vintage set of five (5) porcelain dessert/cheese plates made by the renowned manufacturer Kahla in the German Democratic Republic (East Germany).Each plate features a unique, richly detailed still life illustration depicting various cheeses (including Swiss and Blue cheese), wine bottles, grapes, garlic, and traditional kitchenware. They are finished with a classic, elegant gold trim along the rim. Excellent vintage condition. There are no chips, cracks, or crazing. The graphic transfers are vibrant and clear. Minor shelf wear on the bottom bases as expected with age. The bottom of the plates feature the official green crown logo reading:"KAHLA - German Democratic Republic - III / 6"
