Up for sale is a beautiful mid-century Italian porcelain lidded candy dish imported by the historic Koscherak Brothers New York (KBNY). This ornate Hollywood Regency-style compote features an intricate reticulated (pierced openwork) basketweave design on both the bowl and the matching lid.
It is beautifully decorated with an elegant palette of crisp white, sage/avocado green, and accented with heavy, hand-painted bright gold gilt floral studs and borders.
Dimensions:
• Bowl Diameter: Approx. 5.5 inches
• Total Assembled Height: Approx. 6.5 inches (base to top of lid loop handle)
Markings:
The underside of the footed base is clearly hand-marked with the importer initials, production/style numbers, and country of origin: \"KBNY 1364/499 ITALY\".
Condition:
Excellent vintage condition. There are no cracks, structural repairs, or major chips to the delicate porcelain openwork. The gold gilt accents are vibrant with only minimal, standard age-related handling wear. Inside of the bowl is clean and glossy. Please review all photos, including measurement references, to confirm exact condition details before offerding or purchasing.
