Heritage & Significance
Henri Alméras composed L’Heure Attendue in 1946 to mark the liberation of Paris — “the awaited hour” — one of his final works for the house of Patou. This is the parfum extrait in its original figural presentation: a radiating sunburst moulded into the glass with an arched paper label across the front and a frosted flower-bud stopper capped in gold. Early Patou extrait flacons of this design rarely survive with the baudruche intact, since the membrane was meant to be cut away on first use.

Condition Details — please read carefully
This bottle is sealed and has damage that a buyer should understand before purchasing:
• Fine cracking in the glass at the neck, and a further crack at the top shoulder which does not appear to run through the full thickness. Neither is detectable by touch on the upper surface. Please handle with care, particularly if you ever choose to open the bottle.
• The front label is partially incomplete, with a small section missing on the front bottom as shown.
• The baudruche membrane is lifting slightly but remains in place, with the original thread binding intact. Juice color is pristine.

The moulded sunburst, the frosted floral stopper and the gold cabochon detail are all intact and present well. Please review every photo; they form part of the description.

Authentication Details
JEAN PATOU is acid-etched into the underside of the flacon, the marking method used on the house’s earlier extrait bottles. The baudruche membrane with thread binding is the traditional French sealing method for parfum extrait, applied at the factory and not reproducible after opening. The moulded glass, the hand-applied arched label and the gold foil base label are consistent with original-era Patou extrait production rather than any later reissue.
