Vintage Jaguar Leaper Hood / Bonnet Ornament – Large Leaping Cat Mascot
Classic vintageJaguar-style “Leaper” hood ornament, featuring the iconic leaping big cat with open mouth, extended front legs and long streamlined body.
This is thelarger, substantial version, not one of the small modern Jaguar-style ornaments commonly seen today. It has a heavy rectangular mounting base withtwo mounting holes, as clearly shown in the photographs.
The chrome finish still displays very well and the sculpture retains excellent overall definition, including the face, open mouth, paws, muscular body and long tail.
Condition:Good vintage used condition. There are scratches, surface marks, small areas of pitting, finish wear and other age-related imperfections. The underside/mounting cavity shows wear and residue from previous installation. Please examine all photographs carefully for exact condition.
Important:I have not confirmed an original Jaguar factory part number, exact year, model application or whether this was factory-, dealer-, or aftermarket-installed.
