A vintage enameled brass ring box by Jade Snow Wong, dating to approximately 1950 according to the seller. The hinged box has a square lid decorated with two butterflies in green, blue, yellow, and red enamel against a muted ground. Its restrained form and colorful decoration give it a Mid-Century Modern character.
The exterior is finished in a dark bronze tone, while the interior is lined in tan fabric. A mark on the back reads “JADE SNOW WONG” above “SAN FRANCISCO,” providing the principal identification visible on the piece. The lid opens to a single compartment suitable for a ring or other small jewelry.
