Lot of two 1880s Victorian trade cards advertising J. & P. Coats Best Six-Cord Spool Cotton thread. Printed by Donaldson Brothers of Five Points, New York, these double-sided cards are designed with illustrated front and back faces.The front sides display detailed, multi-color Mother Goose nursery rhyme illustrations. One card depicts children dancing to "Ring-a-Roses" near a windmillThe second matching card illustrates "Little Maid, Little Maid, Whither goest thou?" with a milkmaid carrying a wooden bucket. Both fronts prominently feature an illustrated J. & P. Coats thread spool in the lower corner. The reverse sides serve as the official advertising backs, printed in monochrome blue ink with the J. & P. Coats "Best Six-Cord Thread" trademark logo, a central eagle emblem, and "For Sale Everywhere" text.
