Heavy vintage handmade crazy-patch quilt, approximately 66” × 80”. Colorful irregular scrap patchwork with a blue fabric backing and blue outer edge. Hand stitching is visible on the back. This is a finished quilt, not an unfinished quilt top.
Found at an estate sale. It was delicately hand washed to remove accumulated soil and air dried. It now feels soft and smells fresh.
Condition: repair/display/cutter. There is substantial deterioration along portions of the edge, including fraying, torn or missing fabric, and exposed underlying material. Some top patches also have wear and holes; please see the close-ups, including the red print patch. The quilt looks beautiful spread out, but it needs repair before regular bed use. Sold whole, as shown.
