Vintage Copper Coal Scuttle / Coal Hod with Lion Face Detail

Beautiful vintage copper coal scuttle featuring a hammered body, raised face motif, tall angled pouring opening, and decorative twisted metal handles. A wonderfully sculptural old fireside piece with warm aged copper coloring and natural verdigris/patina.
Measures approximately just under 8” tall.
Originally designed for carrying and pouring coal beside a fireplace, this smaller scuttle now makes a striking decorative accent for a bookshelf, hearth, library, or collected vintage interior.
The piece shows age-related wear, oxidation, patina, surface marks, and darkening to the interior consistent with previous use. Visible seams/soldering and construction marks are present. Please review all photos closely as they are part of the condition description.
No maker’s mark is visible in the provided photos. Exact age and country of origin are unknown. However, personally purchased from an antique store in the Netherlands.
