The tool folds flat for pocket carry via a swivel hinge secured with a screw pivot. When unfolded, the textured striking surface flips up perpendicular to the base for striking matches, then folds back down flat when not in use. A small loop at one end allows it to be attached to a key ring, chain, or fob. Nice heavy brass construction with a warm gold tone finish and natural aged patina throughout.
