On the hour and half-hour, the cuckoo bird emerges to call, followed by a rotating balcony of dancing village figures accompanied by a side-flanking accordion player. Unlike standard models, this clock features a genuine, highly coveted Swiss Cuendet mechanical music box (Model 7722-23) inside the housing. The music box operates flawlessly, beautifully alternating between two classic waltz melodies on the hour:
