Up for sale is this Stunningly highly collectible piece of Vintage Mexican studio Art Pottery from Guanajuato(GTO) Mexico!
Unlike the more common hand painted fish and bird motifs from this studio, this substantial piece features a rare dramatic abstract multi glaze techniques. Thick rich layers of deep plum, various tones of blue and earthy browns blend beautifully across the wide curved body of the vase/urn. The colors along with the high gloss offer a striking mid century modern or rustic bohemian aesthetic.
The vase features a robust classic Urn style centerpiece with a very wide prominent middle. The bottom is clearly incised with the authentic studio signature Gallo de Oro GTO Mex!
Great vintage condition. The glaze is highly vibrant and glossy. It has one tiny chip just below the middle section that is consistent with age and the handmade nature of vintage pottery(see pics). There are no major cracks or repairs. This piece is so beautiful I cannot say enough! Please review all photos closely as they are part of the description. I have many more photos at buyers request. The variation of lighting from room to room totally changes the appearance of this vase which I tried to capture in the photo. Would fit perfectly in any rooms color schemes. This fragile oversized piece will be wrapped in multiple layers of bubble wrap along with over packing material. It will be double boxed to ensure a safe arrival.
