This is a vintage machinist's drill index stand (wire/drill gauge) manufactured by the Greenfield Tap & Die Corporation (GTD) in Greenfield, Massachusetts.It accommodates number-sized bits from #1 down to #60It features a distinctive cast-metal, double-peak "M" or "V" geometry with the iconic embossed GTD initials prominent across the front faceSize 8x3.5x1.Imperfection of position 55 has broken drill in it, but a hole was drills above it to hold the drill.
