Up for sale is a magnificent vintage G.B. R. Capodimonte Porcelain Pedestal Centerpiece Bowl. Made in Italy, this exceptional footed compote features a highly detailed, hand-painted sculptural relief wrapping around the entire exterior bowl. The scene vividly captures classical mythological figures, cherubs, full-body nudes, and powerful charging horses in a striking monochrome black, gray, and white wash palette.The rim, stem, and acanthus leaf foot are highlighted with bright, hand-applied gold gilt trim. The interior of the bowl is finished with a glossy white glaze decorated with a repeating pattern of elegant gold-painted sunburst or floral medallions.Hallmarks & Markings:
The underside features the official blue stamped G.B. R. Capodimonte crown, wreath, and shield crest. It is also hand-marked with the mold/model number 3713 and \"ITALY\" in black script. Green felt protective pads are present on the foot ring to safe-keep your tabletop surfaces.
