Vintage Fred Harvey-era Southwestern sterling silver and turquoise fob/pendant featuring a stylized Kachina man figure.
Wonderful early tourist-era design with an applied dimensional figure, hand-stamped details and a bright round turquoise cabochon bezel-set at the center. The rectangular back plate has additional stamped decoration surrounding the figure, giving the piece a strong early Southwestern look.
The reverse is clearly stamped STERLING.
This style of figural sterling-and-turquoise jewelry is associated with the Fred Harvey / Route 66 Southwestern tourist-jewelry tradition. Closely related vintage examples are described as Kachina man or Kachina figure fobs and pendants.
