Check out my other vintage trade stimulators! All from the 1910s thru 1950s!This is a vintage candy punchboard from around the 1930s or 1940s, used as a trade stimulator and gambling game in retail shops. How it Worked• The Concept: Customers would pay 5 cents per punch to push a tiny paper slip out of one of the grid holes at the bottom using a small metal stylus or key.
• The Prizes: The hidden paper slip contained a number. If the number matched any of the listed winning numbers (like 10, 20, 30, etc.), the customer would win a 1-lb. box of \"Fidelity Chocolates.\"
• The Grand Prize: The person who made the very last punch on the board automatically won a 2-lb. box of \"Berkley Square\" chocolates.
These boards were highly popular in drug stores, cigar shops, and taverns across America before modern lottery laws heavily restricted or banned them. They there are a few holes punched. See pic.
