If you were a Thud pilot, or just a fan of the F-105, here\'s a very unique - and wearable - collector\'s item for you! I purchased these at an estate sale of a gentleman who was an executive at Republic, the company that designed and built the F-105 Thunderchief. They\'re a matching tie clip and cufflink set, showing off the F-105 planform. The photos do not do these pieces justice, but should provide you with a good idea of what\'s being offered.
Both the clip and the cufflinks are made of a sturdy, gold-toned metal, with a matte black that really shows off the F-105 lines. The Thud is created in a planform view (above), with some depth, and the wings are etched with \"USAF\" on one wing, and the US insignia/rondel on the other. All in all, a VERY striking image that\'s repeated on all three items.
The cufflinks each measure approximately 1.4\" wide by .75\" tall. The tie clip is approximately 2\" wide by .75\" tall. These are new old stock (NOS) never issued, and are in excellent condition. They\'d make a great conversation starter at a party or dinner, and/or could be mounted in a shadow box as a unique keepsake.
There are a total of eight sets available. Each set will be securely wrapped in bubble wrap, and shipped via USPS Priority Mail free of charge to US buyers. International buyers are welcome, but are responsible for any additional shipping charges.
