Vintage Expertic Erzgebirge Toy Vendor Wood incense Smoker GDR Germany 7” For Sale

Vintage Erzgebirge wooden Toy Vendor Rauchermann incense smoker, made in the former German Democratic Republic/East Germany.This wonderfully detailed merchant carries a tray filled with miniature wooden toys, including a tiny nutcracker and Christmas tree. He wears a dark felt cape and holds his original wooden pipe. His upper body lifts away from the base so that an incense can be placed on the interior metal holder;smoke then travels through the figure and exits through the pipe. The underside retains its original Expertic Erzgebirge, VEB/VERO and “made in GDR” paper label. Based on the VERO mark, this example dates from approximately 1972-1990.Measures approximately 7” tall.Very good vintage condition with attractive color and detailing. The pipe, removable body, interior incense holder and delicate tray decorations are present. The interior is exceptionally clean, with NO visible soot, scorching, or other evidence that incense was ever burned inside. It may be unused, although its complete history is unknown. Light surface wear consistent with age may be present. No incense are included. ENJOY this little gem!
