This Ercuis bowl combines a softly rounded body with a broad, scalloped rim. An applied twisted-rope border wraps around the upper body and finishes in a decorative knot with two trailing ends. The rope is an ornament on the bowl, rather than a carrying handle.
The underside bears the Ercuis maker’s stamp and the number 6197. The silver-plated surface retains its vintage patina, with visible surface marks and tarnish consistent with use. These details are shown in the photographs.
Its low, generous shape makes it a handsome centerpiece, decorative bowl or outer planter for a separately contained plant. The sale includes the bowl; flowers and other styling accessories are not included.
