For your consideration is this beautiful vintage mid-century silver-plated pineapple potpourri holder figurine, custom designed by Eleanor Claire and crafted in Japan.Since colonial times, the pineapple has stood as a universal symbol of warm hospitality and welcome. In the 1950s and 1960s, Hollywood Regency and tropical tiki aesthetics brought this symbol into elegant homes as a high-end decorative staple. This particular piece features expertly integrated scent holes throughout its geometric diamond panels, allowing you to fill it with your favorite potpourri to gently fragrance a room while serving as an eye-catching centerpiece.Condition Note:
This item has been recently polished with Hope's Silver Polish, restoring a brilliant, bright shine to the raised silver surfaces. Please note that there is remaining white polish residue settled into the deep recessed grooves and ventilation holes of the pineapple body, as shown in the photos. This can be cleaned further by the buyer with a detailed warm soap soak and a soft brush, or left as-is. The bottom retains its clean, original green protective felt lining, and the stamped maker's mark is sharp and fully legible around the base edge.Dimensions: Approx. 6 inches tall.
