Vintage traditional Chinese yueqin (月琴), also known as a moon lute or moon guitar, manufactured under the Dunhuang (敦煌牌) brand by Shanghai No. 1 National Musical Instruments Factory (上海民族乐器一厂).
The instrument features a traditional circular wooden body, short fretted neck, four large fluted wooden tuning pegs, semicircular bridge and decorative flower-shaped headstock with contrasting pierced circular ornament.
The original green Dunhuang manufacturer\'s label remains visible inside the instrument, along with a red factory inspection/QC stamp.

This appears to be an older vintage example. Based on the manufacturer\'s markings and construction, it may date to the mid-20th century, possibly the 1960s–1970s, although the exact production date is unknown and no specific date is being represented.
Condition: Vintage pre-owned condition with wear consistent with age and use, including scratches, scuffs, finish wear, edge wear and discoloration. Strings are incomplete/broken. Instrument has not been tested for playability and may require restringing, adjustment and/or other servicing before use.I believe a fret may be missing on the body, closest to the neck. Smoke-free home.
It is being offered as found and has not been restored. Please examine all photographs closely, as they are an important part of the condition description.
