A well preserved, vintage (1995) hand painted, small-scale, gouache (acrylic) on natural river rock sandstone slab by Native American (Kiowa Tribe, Lawton, OK) Donald Lee Redbird (Anadarko, OK.)
This river stone (naturally smooth, water-worn contour with a flat face) art work piece features a Southern plains figure in vibrant colors and tipi. Back of piece exhibits a fine, grainy and slightly porous texture (typical of sandstone.)
In excellent vintage (31 years old) condition. Signed and dated as shown by artist in lower right front area. Looks wonderful displayed or, incorporated into an art wall.
