Vintage Dachau Crematorium Photos Scrapbook Page Holocaust Era Germany Lot
Scrapbook page and photos show age-related wear with some light surface handling marks and slight corner curling to the photo prints. Black page stock lies generally flat with minor waviness and a few light impressions from storage. Tissue interleaf remains attached and intact with some creasing; all photographs are firmly affixed and images are clear.
Item: Single black scrapbook page holding a group of original vintage black-and-white photographs depicting buildings and grounds identified as the crematorium complex at Dachau in Germany.
Layout: One side of the page shows two mounted photographs of a long brick building with a tall chimney, above a detailed white ink drawing of the same structure with hand-drawn figures, trees, and architectural details.
Artwork details: The drawing includes a small figure in striped clothing, a hanging figure within a gallows-like frame, and a flag bearing a swastika symbol; several handwritten German labels appear near features of the building, and a small signature is present at the lower right of the illustration.
Reverse side: The opposite side of the page holds three additional mounted photographs, including exterior views of the brick building and a close-up of a memorial stone engraved \"KREMATORIUM\" and \"DENKET DARAN WIE WIR HIER STARBEN\".
Provenance note: A handwritten note on separate paper in the photos states \"This is a page from a vintage scrapbook\" and \"These photos are from Dachau\".
Physical characteristics: Photographs are small, glossy black-and-white prints mounted to a heavy black scrapbook sheet with two pre-punched binder holes along the edge; the original translucent interleaving tissue with geometric patterning is still attached on one side.
Use: Suitable for collectors of World War II ephemera, Holocaust history materials, or original camp site photography and memorial documentation.
