( The small plaque at the base).
This exquisite vintage frosted glass nun figurine was made to celebrate the 125th ANNIVERSARY of the SICHEL wine merchants. First established in 1857 the family company blends a rich history of wine trading . It celebrated its 125th ANNIVERSARY in 1982.
Plague on the base states SICHEL 1857-1982 Plague has shifted a tiny bit exposing some dried glue at the top of the edge. (see photos) The plague also has a scratch near the top of the plague side ( see photos)
Designed with elegant simplicity, the sculpture showcases a serene nun holding a basket ( of grapes or flowers???? not sure but I am leaning towards grapes because of the SICHEL connection) , The frosted glass finish gives it a soft, ethereal glow, making it a timeless collectible. A meaningful decorative accent for homes, chapels, or antique collections.
Mounted on a black wooden base This is a rare collectible and a
perfect gift for spiritual occasions, antique lovers, or those who appreciate sacred sculptures.
