Vintage Coventry Ware Inc. Hand-Decorated Horse Wall Plaque
Fantastic vintage wall plaque featuring two dimensional horses in motion with raised horseshoe borders along the top and bottom. The cream/tan background with dark olive-brown horses gives it a great mid-century modern, Western, ranch, and equestrian look.
The original paper label is still present on the reverse and reads:
HAND DECORATED
Coventry Ware Inc.
Made in U.S.A.
Coventry Ware was producing decorative plaster and molded wall plaques in the 1950s, and U.S. copyright records document the company’s plaque designs from that period. Wikimedia Commons
