Vintage “Poinsettia – December” Angel Girl Figurine
Charming vintage ceramic figurine featuring a little angel girl dressed in a white gown decorated with a large red poinsettia and smaller floral accents. She has blonde pigtails with blue bows, a gold halo, angel wings, textured gold-accented trim around her skirt, and stands on a base marked “Poinsettia December.”
The underside retains an older maker/distributor label along with a handwritten number. Please see all photos for markings and construction details.
Condition: This is a vintage piece with substantial age-related wear. The figurine appears to have been broken in the past and glued/repaired, particularly through the skirt/body area. Repair lines are clearly visible on the side and back. There is also surface dirt/discoloration, scuffing, crazing and general wear from age and storage. The textured trim around the bottom of the dress shows wear as well.
I have not attempted to clean or restore this figurine. It is being sold as found. Because of the apparent older repairs, I did not want to risk loosening or damaging the piece by cleaning it.
Despite the previous repairs, the figurine is currently intact and has a wonderful mid-century holiday look. A nice display piece for a collector of vintage Christmas décor, December birthday/flower collectibles, angels or kitschy mid-century ceramics.
