Vintage Colman’s Mustard 1/4 lb advertising tin dating to the King George VI era, featuring the classic bright yellow and red Colman’s graphics, Bull’s Head trademark, royal warrant and historic Paris exhibition and Legion of Honor imagery. Made in the U.S.A. under license from Reckitt & Colman Limited of London, England and distributed by Atlantis Sales Corporation of Rochester, New York. Particularly fun period details appear along the sides, including directions for preparing table mustard and salad dressing as well as old-fashioned instructions for a mustard bath, mustard plaster/poultice and mustard foot bath. The tin measures approximately 4 1/4 inches tall and about 2 1/2 inches wide based on photographed measurements. A wonderful piece of vintage kitchen, grocery store, spice and food advertising with excellent display appeal. Tin is empty and sold as a collectible only.

Vintage pre-owned condition with age-appropriate surface wear, scratches, discoloration and oxidation/rust, particularly to the unpainted metal top and bottom. The yellow, red and black printed graphics remain remarkably bright and legible for age, including the detailed directions on the sides. Empty.
