Up for your consideration is a delightful vintage novelty miniature chamber pot cup, proudly bearing the circular export backstamp reading "Made in Germany." This charming collectible features a striking high-gloss cobalt blue and white banded color scheme with a distinct black typographic inscription that reads, "JUST WHAT THE DOCTOR ORDERED." Styled precisely like a traditional 19th-century chamber pot on a miniature scale, the piece includes a fully formed side handle and an intriguing molded structural ridge accentuating the interior floor. Measuring approximately 3 inches in rim diameter (3.75 inches including the handle), it functions beautifully as a unique toothpick holder, desk accessory, or standalone conversational piece for collectors of medical memorabilia and bathroom humor.
The item is in very good vintage condition, showcasing an overall excellent display quality with no chips, cracks, or structural repairs. It exhibits minor, age-appropriate glaze wear along the top rim and a natural, unglazed dark aging ring along the outer base footprint, both of which are consistent with its manufacturing era and add to its authentic vintage character. Please review the detailed photos provided to accurately assess the exact condition, measurements, and backstamp of this classic German novelty piece.
