Listed is a beautiful, vintage miniature replacement saucer manufactured by Chugai China during the post-WWII allied occupation period. This pieced features a striking solid black glaze decorated with a hand-painted pink and red floral motif, vibrant green foliage, and an elegant gold-trimmed rim. Sizing Note: This is a Demitasse / Expresso Size Saucer. It is smaller than a standard teacup saucer and is designed to fit a miniature demitasse cup (typically around 1.5\" to 2\" tall).
Condition:
Great vintage condition. No cracks, hairline fractures, or flea bites. The gold gilding along the rim is fully intact with no noticeable rubbing or wear. (There is a barely noticeable nick on the rim above the pink rose).
The black glaze remains glossy. Please note that this piece exhibits minor factory manufacturing anomalies common to post-war Japanese production, including small glaze pinholes, firing specks, and slight bumps under the glaze (see photos). These are original to the manufacturing process, not post-production damage.
