Vintage Christy Co Blow Glass Advertising Sliding Pocket Knife Fremont OH As Is For Sale

Vintage Christy Company sliding pocket knife featuring custom industrial trade advertising text reading BLOW GLASS! stamped directly into the inner blade frame. This classic pocket tool was manufactured by The Christy Co. out of Fremont, Ohio, under Patent Number 2,074,640, which dates this specific piece to the late 1930s to 1940s era. It features a unique one-handed mechanical sliding operation where pressing the spring-loaded button allows the blade to extend and securely lock into three distinct cutting lengths.

The knife frame is in excellent vintage condition with a highly polished bright finish and clear, crisp stamped lettering. The internal slide mechanism functions smoothly, clicking tightly into each indexing position and locking safely when closed. Please note that the very tip of the sliding steel blade is broken off/snapped from historical use, as shown in the close-up macro photographs. The blade still retains a sharp edge otherwise and can be fully replaced if desired via the frame's rear takedown screws. It comes complete with its original attached beaded keychain loop. A fantastic, authentic restoration piece or frame addition for an advertising cutlery collector.
