Large vintage Chinoiserie / Famille Noire style table lamp featuring a glossy black ceramic or porcelain urn-form body decorated with birds, flowers and foliage, aged brass and verdigris-tone metal fittings, and an oversized woven bamboo/rattan cage shade.
Lamp is working and fitted with a Leviton socket. The open-weave shade creates a striking striped light pattern when illuminated and gives the piece substantial sculptural presence.
