Up for sale is a set of two (2) vintage celluloid pocket matchbook holders / cases advertising
Frederick\'s Four Crown Special Premium Beer.
These unique pieces of breweriana advertising are from the historical Frederick\'s Brewing Co., which was located in Thornton, Illinois.
Details & Features:
• Front Text: \"Frederick\'s Four Crown Special
Premium Beer / Frederick\'s Brewing Co.
Thornton, Ill. Phone Interocean 9670\"
• Material: Celluloid plastic top with a red plastic base and hinge.
• Design: Features a built-in slot on the front to expose the matchbook striking strip.
• Quantity: Includes both matchbook holders shown in the photos.
Condition & Latch Note:
Both holders currently contain matchbooks inside.
The cases are being sold as-is and do not fully snap shut with the current matchbooks inserted. I have chosen not to force the latches closed to avoid putting any unnecessary stress or damage on the vintage celluloid tabs. There is some minor surface wear, light scuffing, and minimal aging consistent with vintage advertising items of this era. Please see photos for a detailed look at the exact cosmetic condition.
Shipping Note (Domestic Ground Only):
Because these items contain matches, they will be shipped strictly via USPS Ground Advantage in compliance with postal regulations for hazardous materials. No air or international shipping is available for this listing.
