Pre-owned vintage condition. Beautiful overall appearance with extensive crackle/crazing throughout the glaze. This appears consistent with the decorative crackle-glaze technique rather than ordinary damage. I do not see an obvious major chip, break, or repair in the supplied photographs. Please inspect all photographs closely, particularly the rim, foot, glaze and underside, as they form part of the condition description.
Description
Beautiful signed celadon pottery vase featuring a soft seafoam/jade-green glaze, extensive crackle finish, delicate crane decoration, and an elegant long-necked bottle form.
This vase has a rounded, pear-shaped body that rises into a long slender neck and gently flared mouth. The proportions give it a particularly graceful silhouette and distinguish it from the other celadon pieces in the collection.
The surface is covered in a pronounced network of crackle/crazing beneath the glossy celadon glaze, creating the aged, textured appearance associated with traditional celadon-inspired ceramics. Decorative details include flying cranes, subtle cloud/floral motifs, and fine white bands around the shoulder.
The underside carries a handwritten two-character mark. The mark appears consistent with the mark found on another celadon crane vase from the same collection. Because I have not independently authenticated the artist or kiln, I am selling this piece as signed Asian celadon-style art pottery rather than guaranteeing a particular maker, country, period, or kiln.
The combination of pale celadon glaze, cranes, crackled surface and restrained decoration is strongly reminiscent of traditional Korean/Goryeo-inspired celadon design.
Approximate measurements:
Height: about 8½ inches based on the measurement photograph.
Please see photos for scale and proportions.
Features: Signed/marked base; celadon seafoam-green glaze; intentional-style crackle/crazing throughout; flying crane decoration; long-neck bottle form; flared rim; traditional Asian-inspired design; glossy glazed finish; and complementary decoration to the other signed celadon crane pieces from the same collection.
This piece displays beautifully on its own and would also make an excellent companion piece for collectors of celadon pottery, Korean-inspired ceramics, Asian decorative arts, crane motifs, or crackle-glazed pottery.
Please note: Exact age, artist, kiln and country of manufacture have not been independently authenticated. The handwritten mark and all identifying details are clearly photographed so buyers can make their own assessment.
